Developed by Dallas real estate developer, Todd Interests, Thompson Dallas was part of the restoration of The National, an unparalleled $460 million project that made it the largest adaptive re-use project in the history of Texas. Giant Noise worked simultaneously with Todd Interests, Thompson Hotels and Hyatt to create messaging that effectively relayed the complexity of the overall project with the main focus being the Thompson Hotel brand’s initial debut into the Texas market.
In addition to the attention received for being the first Thompson hotel in Texas and the first hotel in downtown Dallas in more than a decade, coverage for Thompson Dallas includes accolades for its $2 million art collection and interior design led by Todd Interiors and Interiors Ltd.; business stories on the complexity of the real estate project; and food and beverage coverage applauding the hotel’s restaurants, Nine and Catbird, both of which were positioned as chef-driven establishments that were anything but typical hotel eateries.
In addition to public relations, Giant Noise also created retail partnerships with brands like Lucchese, now a long-term tenant in The National; holiday activations and programming; and local and drive-market influencer collaborations. Giant Noise Dallas has provided all public relations for Thompson Dallas and its two restaurants, Catbird and Nine, since October 2020.
