The Texas Cultural Trust is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to be the leading voice for the arts in education, advocacy, and economic impact in Texas, spotlighting the artistic excellence of our state. Giant Noise has worked with the organization over the past several years to provide year-round PR services in addition to a targeted campaign around this biennial event.
2019 marked the 10th event, which featured eleven Texas honorees who inspired rising artists across the state and throughout the country. The 2019 Texas Medal of Arts Honorees included internationally recognized Elaine Molinar, Craig Dykers, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Stephen Harrigan, Jennifer Holliday, Brandon Maxwell, Matthew McConaughey, Mark Seliger, Boz Scaggs, and the Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts.
The event takes place every other year, and Giant Noise assists in the PR efforts with announcements, coordinated statewide press conferences, media and influential community member invites for pre-event dinners and receptions as well as to the two-day event itself. We are on site during the entire event to not only facilitate red carpet festivities, including media management, but also to assist with VIP coordination. In this past year alone, TMAA has been featured in Texas Monthly, People, and the Houston Chronicle, among many other notable publications.
