Fortress Festival is a two-day boutique music festival that takes place at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in the Cultural District of Fort Worth, Texas, each Spring. Fortress Festival was created and continues to be independently owned-and-operated by Fortress Presents, a Fort Worth-based production and promotions company founded in 2016 by North Texas natives Alec Jhangiani and Ramtin Nikzad.
Each year, the festival brings to Fort Worth incredible music lineups featuring internationally acclaimed headliners alongside some of today’s hottest up-and-coming music acts, as well as a variety of local artists and boundary-testing musical pioneers. The 2019 headliners included Leon Bridges, CHVRCHES and Rae Sremmurd, alongside Superorganism, Khruangbin and Tinashe, as well as an eclectic mix of local music acts from across the North Texas region.
Giant Noise has provided full PR support for Fortress Festival since its inception in early 2017 when the partnership first began. In addition to traditional festival announcements and media engagement, Giant Noise has worked to position the team as experts in the boutique festival landscape as well as tastemakers in music culture, both locally and regionally.
Fortress Festival has become both locally and nationally recognized as the premier destination event of North Texas,. In past few years alone, Fortress Festival has received abundant praise, including being called one of the top 10 music festivals in North America as voted by USA Today’s 10Best, a “Can’t Miss Music Festival” by Harper’s Bazaar, an “arbiter of taste” by Texas Monthly, a “defiant outpost for Black music” by the Daily Dot, a “model for what urban festivals can achieve” by Fort Worth Weekly, and “one of the best experiences to be had in the North Texas market” by Central Track.
