Olamaie brings the taste of the South with a new modern spin to downtown Austin.

Helmed by Texas native and CIA-trained Co-Executive Chef Michael Fojtasek (formerly of Lincoln Ristorante and Son of a Gun Restaurant) and CIA-trained Co-Executive Chef Grae Nonas (formerly of Tarry Lodge and Son of a Gun Restaurant), Olamaie brings the taste of the South with a new modern spin to downtown Austin.

Since opening in August 2014, Olamaie has quickly become one of Austin’s newest dining hot spots and has received numerous accolades including being named as a 2015 James Beard Awards semifinalist for “Best New Restaurant,” and being featured as the second Best New Restaurant in Texas Monthly‘s “Where to Eat Now” in 2015. Chef Nonas was also named as a 2015 James Beard Awards semifinalist for “Rising Star of the Year.”

Giant Noise helped to launch Olamaie as one of the most anticipated new restaurant openings of 2014 and has worked with the Olamaie team to keep the momentum growing throughout the restaurant’s inaugural year.
